Ryan and Denzel showed up to my house today to tarp my property due to the storm and they were so polite very professional and great customer service skills if you’re looking for a top-notch service, please give Paul Davis recovery and restoration a call, I enjoyed the time that Ryan was here. After a hurricane ravaged our home, we turned to Paul Davis Restoration, hoping for timely and professional help. Instead, we were met with a series of egregious failures that transformed our post-disaster recovery into a prolonged nightmare.
Threats and Intimidation:
Perhaps the most alarming aspect of our experience was Paul Davis Restoration's handling of payment. Despite our insurance claim being in process, they aggressively demanded payment upfront and refused to wait for our insurer to cover their costs. When we were unable to comply with their immediate payment demands, the company escalated the situation by threatening legal action against us. Under immense pressure and facing the threat of legal consequences, we reluctantly gave in to their demands. This decision has left us financially devastated—out an extremely large sum of money that we could ill afford. As a result of their aggressive tactics, we are now unable to complete the necessary repairs to our property, compounding the stress and hardship we are already experiencing.
Price Gouging:
The most egregious aspect of our experience was the blatant price gouging, especially given the context of a national disaster. After a Level 4 hurricane caused widespread destruction, Paul Davis Restoration exploited the crisis by charging vastly inflated rates for substandard work. Their pricing not only soared well beyond industry standards but also seemed to take advantage of the desperate circumstances faced by those affected by the hurricane. What should have been a relatively straightforward restoration process became an extortionate ordeal, leaving us with a financial burden far beyond what was initially agreed upon.
Lack of Professionalism:
Throughout the entire process, the professionalism of Paul Davis Restoration was non-existent. Their communication was poor, their work was rushed and careless, and their commitment to customer satisfaction was a mere afterthought. It became increasingly apparent that their priority was to maximize profit at the expense of quality and integrity.
In summary, my experience with Paul Davis Restoration was a devastating reminder of how vulnerable consumers can be in the wake of a disaster. Their deceit, aggressive tactics, and price gouging left a lasting scar on what was already a challenging time. If you value honesty, professionalism, and fairness, do yourself a favor and steer clear of this company.
